Hello, GBAtemp.

I am Xandu, a PSP developer, and I would like to ask about Nintendo DS flash carts.

I have read many reviews and comparisons but I still don't know what to get.

So which one is the best for Nintendo DS

in ROM compatibility and homebrew compatibility? Also GBA compatibility?

Thanks in advance.

No, I have the normal DS, will M3 lite work?

NOTE: All 5 colors are included in this package: White, Black, Pink, Navy, Light Blue & The GBA Shell

I think I have to switch the chip to the GBA shell.

If not, can you link me to a normal DS M3 from the same website? (www.gamersection.ca)?

Last minute before purchase!

This better than G6 or M3 lite?

Looking at G6 lite features:

Highest DS game compatibility with perfect save function. (Only 1 title found incompatible)
Fast-read, No game will be slow-down. (Fastest !!!)
Fast-load, booting up in 1-2 seconds.
Support running games larger than 256Mbit in size.
No media compatibility problem.
Automatic Save Management System (ASMS) supports storing more than one save file for each game.
The save system supports storing game save data safety. No file(s) storing in card will be unexpectedly loss.
Support decompressing ZIP format source file and compress game data in flashcard.
Works fine with Passcard

Why's M3 better?

Because of the expandable memory? But other than that and slightly better homebrew support, there are no differences between G6 and M3, really.

And when (I didn't say "if") your mini/microSD memory card breaks down, it's easier to replace than the entire G6.

Alright, I think I'll order M3 Perfect.

Now, does it have issues with online gaming, let's say, Pokemon Diamond or Mario Kart?

Back when mine worked (M3 Perfect CF), Mario Kart was fine (as well as Tetris, Metroid, and Bleach DS). Download play works as long as the DS's uploading to are flashed.

(It got killed by my brother's GBA Advance being shoved into it to many times, just like my GBAMP 2, that's why I'm getting a slot one R4DS)

What a bump! haha

Anyways, by M3, are you talking about M3 Simply (slot1?)

If you're using the original GBA cart, then yet... if you're using a slot2, then no... unless you're using a 3in1 with EZ5 (which does work cos the rom on the EZ5 is patched to do so)
