Done some thinking now, and i'll probably head out tomorrow to get a 3DS and Pokemon Black/White. Also just noticed that a new Zelda game is coming to the 3DS in not to long, so looks like that may be the first 3DS title i'll buy.

Anyway thanks for all the replies so far, if there is anything else one would like to add, don't be afraid to post =)

I would just like to add, that I only kept my XL to use my SCDS2 on it. The other thing is, once you get used to the DS resolution on the 3DS, you don't mind.

So i guess flashcarts for the DS/DSi doesn't work with the 3DS yet?

Not all but the good ones/some of the DSi flashcarts do work like SCDSTWO, Acekard2i, and others I can't name. There's a list of flashcarts that still work on the 3DS floating around somewhere.

Cosmos black 3DS and Pokemon White bought. Tried some of the 3DS games in the store, liked the 3D effect, but i'll have to wait on some other titles to launch before buying my first 3DS game, as i've said earlier non of the launch titles is to my liking beside maybe Lego Star Wars.

Anyway once again thanks for all the help/replies =)

Launch titles were pretty lame, Lego Starwars is good, but not great. There are some awesome games coming and the 3D effect is very tempting, the controls are better and when a new 3DS comes out, you'll get it alot cheaper by trading in your old 3DS. Other-wise your likely to lose money because no-one will want the original ds/dsi/xl's.

If you have to get a DS, i would go for either the DSlite (if you like GBA games and compatibility) or if you want a little bit better build quality, i would suggest the DSi. Personally i wouldnt want to give up my GBA support.

BUT i wouldnt get a DS right now. I would save and get a 3DS.

You won't be missing any features from your game when playing on the 3DS and the circle pad does work... Although, I like to use it only on specific games (Megaman, Radiant Historia, and some other sort of "free roam" type of games). I feel the D-Pad does Pokemon more justice

I imagine the circle pad could come in really useful when playing any Dragon Quest title.

I've found the circle pad much better to use, though it's a bit easy to go in the wrong direction sometimes in Pokemon, but it feels a lot better than the d-pad.

I'll just say I have a both a 3DS and DSiXL. I played my DS games like Pokemon on the 3DS for a while but after a week or so I went back to my XL for DS games. The larger screens are just so much nicer to play on. I really hope they come out with a XL version of the 3DS somewhere down the line.
