I finally got myself a new ps2 and I'm ready to get it modded. The problem is the guys by me that used to do chip installs are long since gone. Does anyone even do this reasonably anymore? Any suggestions for me? Thanks.

What model do you have? If it's a compatible model do a softmod. It's one of the stickies here. It's pretty easy and cheap. I just did this and it only cost me $4 and a trip to my local Gamestop about 2 miles away.

Also softmodding with freemcboot works quite good if you are not wanting to spend a lot. That is if your PS2 isn't the new model.
