Personally I'm not going to be getting a switch until a game is released for it that I feel I really need to play. I didn't buy a 3ds until Pokemon ORAS came out so I'll probably follow a similar pattern with the switch.

In addition to being unlikely to get one any earlier than the Super Mario Odyssey release, I'm also a lot more likely to buy one once Switch homebrew is an option.

Heck, I'm still on the fence about getting a Wii U. We have one, but it's my daughter's and I'm not gonna futz with it. But I could get a lot more use out of a Wii U right now than the Switch (Wii U, Wii, GCN and more in one box w/ HDMI out). My daughter will probably get the Switch for Christmas though, so I guess that counts. I might buy one for myself in Japan next summer if there's a special model by then.

Zeldonk
Xina Xinablodas Dronicla 2
Pungmon Steri
Matafoid
Merta henta

+ 5 more interesting must buy games.

A soon as this list had launched I'll get it.
Or the Switch suddenly got homebrew support.

I can wait with playing mah brother's right now zelda machine.

Next year, maybe. I already have BOTW on my sister's Wii-U that she forgot/doesn't care about. There ain't shit coming out that I'm interested in. The new Mario game looks cool as fuck, but other than that, there's nothing.

I got one a couple weeks after launch, and I don't regret it, it's a nice piece of tech, games are a little lacking so far but what can you do. Once Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2 are out I'll be satisfied. I hope I don't get any issues with it, so far my only issue has been left JoyCon connectivity.

I'm broken.

I will probably get one when the next Nintendo console comes out. I can save USD $10 a month, and the console costs USD $480 in my country, plus USD $80 per game.
I don't want to brag, but can't you get a job? I'm 17 and I make 250$ a month with stocking shelves since I was 15. It's a pretty good opportunity for working experience and you make CASH MONEY!

I'll get it when there are games on it I want to play that I cannot play on another console. Botw? Beat it on WiiU. MK8? WiiU. Disgaea 5? PS4. Mario Odyssey... not enough. Xenoblade Chronicles 2? Well that's much further down the line, but by that point.... sure! There'll be enough games by then to make it worth it!

Or if homebrew becomes fully established, I may jump on board early

got mine at launch haven't had any problems and im loving the games ive logged about 105 hours into breath of the wild and 100%ed it now im playing the crap out of binding of isaac afterbirth+ with about 75 hours so far and there are many other games that are already out for the switch that i would like to get but im broke so lol but yea im loving the switch

W很there will be at least 10 good games.

And I always buy a console with at least 10 games

4 weeks ago, I suppose.

But seriously, it's already been worth it for me. I have a combined 2 hour commute on the train every day for work so I use it daily. I've bought Zelda, FastRMX, Master Blaster Zero, Snake Pass and Graceful Explosion Machine already with Wonder Boy due this week and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at the end of the month. Fun times.
