Homebrew When is 3ds 11.3 CFW Exploit going to be released?

Sell it, get another with older FW. Easiest exploit of my life. There are tons of used consoles being sold everyday on ebay or craiglist. I don't get why some people grow attached to their console and deny this method.

Joke aside, Sighax is coming soon and will be able to install on any FW either through hardmod or dsiware transfer.

Why would anybody do this?
We had so many exploits through the time, it's unbelievable, everyone who wanted to install cfw, did it. We had many, many opportunities.
It Would be a waste of exploit If it would be released for 11.3, just so the minority can install cfw and Nintendo can patch it next week. And then everything would start from the beginning.. in two weeks you would see people asking desperately for 11.4 hack. It's always the same. I'm sorry but it's not possible to make it available for everyone.

When I installed a9lh on my system, it was a few days after 11.3 was released. I was even saying "If they release a patch for this fasthax this weekend I'll go nuts".
And go nuts I did. But it was as simple as just not choosing to update to 11.3 when it happened.

And what if Nintendo decides to patch a future 11.3 kernel exploit?

Don't update to 11.x

...But then again, we'll always have idiots (or desperate novices) who will update to 11.x without thinking and be like that. In some respects, you're right. But for those of us with a reasonable amount of experience and common sense, don't update in the first place.

well it depends how long the 3ds lasts we might as well exploit the newest firmware when the 3ds is unsupported so it does not get patched

I already have Lumas+A9LH so im happy with my 3DS ;D I couldn't find any 11.2 3ds in stores so I guess the only way is hard modding (which Im not going to do)... I haven't checked online yet but how do I make sure it is 11.2? When my sister got her 3ds it was already 11.3 and it was the oldest 3ds we could find... My cousin had his n3ds on 11.2 before but arm9 did not work and he had to reset...

can't downgrade anymore with hardmod 11.3 patched that

Craigslist or offer up that's where I've found plenty of systems on lower firmware you can ask the seller before purchasing

We have 11.3 userland, and we have 11.3 arm9kernel. We only need arm11kernel. So, really, it shouldn't take THAT long.

Ideally advised to get on with other things and check forums once per two months in the hope that there is something or if desperate to play the "backups", sell the 3ds and get one on lower firmware.

Im sure everyone who wants CFW is wondering... When is Smealum going to release a 11.3 CFW hack? 11.3 Had a ton of security updates and crap, somehow soundhaxs is safe... Anyways on Smealum's twitter, it has shown that they had already bypassed one of the payloads and may be finished within a few months or years. My sister has a new 3ds and is desperate for CFW... My cousin as well......... -_- Anyone knows a better estimate of a new bypass? Im sure to stick around what Smealum is posting...

Get a refurbished N3DS XL directly from Nintendo. They go for $170+shipping and will come with a firmware low enough to install A9LH and CFW. When I ordered my first refurbished 2DS from them, I emailed them to acquire about the firmware and the rep told me that they update the refurbished consoles after it's refurbished then it's boxed up and put into stock. Those consoles have most likely been in stock for a while as the 2DS I bought had 8.0 and my N3DS XL had 9.6. One was bought in November 2016 and the other February 2017.

Most likely never, a little less a long time. If Nintendy Tendies finds a new CFW release, they'll patch it out asap. Smea also only works on the ways like soundhax to get into the system, not the a9hl exploit methods. You need to have already installed a cfw on 11.2 or lower, otherwise, people like you and I have to wait an overly extensive amount of time for a new CFW I got my N3DS one day before the 11.3 mishap, and was very new to 3DS homebrew, not even knowing of it just yet. or maybe not ever be able to get it at all. With ways to get games for free through Legit CIAs and other methods, the people over at Nintendo must be working hard to fix all this and find every exploit possible, so the developers of CFWs have a very limited amount of time if they can't find an exploit before Nintendo does.

Because we had no idea, and were tired of the question. In a few weeks, there will be threads of people asking about 11.4 exploits, and so on, so on.

People need to stop asking for ETA of new exploits. It's not as though the forum won't talk about it as soon as a new exploit is released.
