I swear this site is full of shitposters with no programming knowledge.

The exploit is known/documented but there is no use for the exploit yet. Someone needs to write a payload.

That's what most of the other forks are. Grab one and compile / run it yourself.

There are probably a couple of private payloads already available but you're not important enough to have access to them yet. That's how trickle down software dev works.

True, there's a lot of people that fall under that category, but it's also the best place to actually grab legitimate information.

You're right...but only kinda. The biggest reason this sort of thing is kept from the public at first is usually to idiot proof the process first before releasing (source: I'm a software dev myself, though I don't really dabble with 3ds stuff mainly because my C/C++ is pretty rusty). They don't usually hold onto stuff like that "just because" (as an exception, this does happen with consoles that don't have any good exploits released for them publicly sometimes because some developers feel that it's their place to protect someone else's console from piracy...I never understood this point of view, but it is what it is, and unfortunately it does happen).

Yes I'm a software developer as well and you didn't say anything that I don't disagree with. I just don't care enough about the 3DS to provide any assistance.

That being said, I'm off to go brick my 2DS.

Games are getting huge nowdays, like 125gb a game (4k games anyways). I feel sorry for players that only have a 512gb hd. (Series S)

I wonder if that was the point of game streaming
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    But it's a dead end
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
