The PSP guys got theirs last year soon after the PSP port was announced so what's up with the DS version I wonder? I can't find a status on it anywhere.
Anyone know?

Independent, like Independent developer, meaning not a big game computer who makes games professionally.Rayder said:They call it an "Indie" Classic.....
What the hell does "Indie" mean?
ok. first, Cave Story is not a RPG, it's a Action-Adventure.Pyrofyr said:Cave Story is considered one of the greatest (If not the greatest) RPG ever made by many many many people. It also has no opposition taking place as #1 Indie Game RPG of all time really.
In any case, they've been planning to port this to a console since SNES, just never have, after all that's what it was made for, but they were too late, moved it to Windows and that was it. I didn't even know Pixel was still working on CS, I can only hope they are planning extra storyline and stuff off of it, since the game can't really have a friggin' sequel unless it's after the whole 'final ending' deal.

Here we go again.Pyrofyr said:An RPG is a broad term, and it IS an RPG, it may not always be classified as one, because people tend to try and change the way things are, but it is indeed an RPG, as you role play a character, and although you don't level up (As what is considered by many as the basis for being RPG), you do indeed make choices, which is what an RPG is REALLY all about, making choices on how your character wil end up in the end, and being able to go different routes.

There's always one twat in every RPG thread who has to say that ... always ...
They say it cos they think it makes them look clever, when all it makes them look is tedious and pedantic ...
Yep. In most games your supposed to be playing the role of a character.QUOTE said:I hate it when people say a game is an RPG because you "play the role of another character"
