When i left we were talking about wiiclips and wasabis and when i come back were talking about vc dumps and WAD's. Im confused. Someone fill me in plz.

As far as i'm seeing, a WAD is an installation file for the Wii that will put on a program (or VC game) onto the wii with its own channel.

There is probably more that i'm missing, but i think thats a decent quick explanation.

Anyone with other thoughts? (or am i correct?)

a WAD is the file format that a ripped and compiled VC game comes in. The reason they are all the rage is because recently, the recently discovered twilight hack is allowing users to install these WAD files to their Wii, and play them as if they had just bought them

also, it has also been found out that VC games can be injected (inserted) with ROM's of other games of that same system, most notably at the moment being that "Sin and Punishment" can be injected with "Super Smash Bros" (N64) and it will run as if it nintendo had done it, the compatibility is still very low for games, so alot of testing being done (also the injection process is complex and can be frustrating)

at the moment, only SNES and N64 games have worked to some point

hope this fills you in
