I think they stopped caring. Tshock has also expressed disappointment with the way the terraria team is handling things (there's like no damn security and hacks easily work online), they don't seem interested in adding any actual security to the official server or anything.

That's kinda why I was asking, tmod had worldgurad, which would have been a great help with this greifer I just had, damn near destroyed my whole world, even my backup.
