I don't want to have to spend my Christmas morning walking over to my Aunt's (who lives half an hour away) to download the games that could possibly take up to an hour to download, then a half an hour walk back home. That's not what you do on Christmas Morning.

I honestly think Nintendo will release the games on the 22nd as an early Christmas present to the Ambassador members, but that's just my two cents.

They were released on the 31st of August in the US, but I'm pretty sure everywhere else got them on the 1st of September. That's a Thursday. I think the US got them early because of the time difference.
