What file types can batchdpg read and convert to .dpg?
ei: can it read .mkv .ogm .avi(I'm say yes to this one) .mp4?

And lastly... will the video play on both screen? I think this is a smart question !

Use SuperC converter to convert those file types. I think batchdpg only supports mpeg.
And no the video is not dual screened.

Actually, BatchDPG supports converting most file types to DPG. You just have to make sure you all the proper codecs in place. Get the K-Lite codec pak and you should be good with BatchDPG. Super video converter works fairly well too.

ogm files doesnt work for me but that maybe because of the codec i have the others you mentioned work perfectly.
the other program to use for converting that i've been hearing good things about is Super but i dont know how fast it is, dont know file size difference between batchdpg and super after converting is done, dont know the overall quality compared to batchdpg.

you may want to try it if you get problems with batchdpg

hm i think the issue with mkv is that u lose the subtitles (unless u have it separated)

Soft Sub? Possibly...
Hard Sub? Doubtfully...

Soft sub do not record through into .dpg format. /tested with [Huzzah-Doremi]_Bamboo_Blade_10_[8CD0EBE3].mkv
This does mean .mkv conversion works fine.
Hard sub recorded through into .dpg format... this was a given. /tested with [Ani-Kraze]_KARAS_-_06_[FINAL]_[DVD-AC3]_[ED1AECBA].mkv

It would be preferred, if you watched something with subtitles, that you have them separately so the ratio when downgrading the resolution doesn't lose
focus. In short, Hard subbed video files with higher resolution will have very hard subtitles to read

I have .ogm and .mp4 on data somewhere... Anyone care to test?

ogm files don't work on batchdpg from my experience, mp4 works fine.
i also think that when converting files with hard subs the difficulty of reading comes from the style groups may have used for the subs

demux ogm, delete all but the sub files
convert ogm to avi or other format without the subs
use batchdpg with the new converted file and the subtitle file

in some cases yes and some cases no.

i haven't tried but if you set the language priorities (audio and subtitle) in haali media splitter you shouldn't need to extract the soft subs from the mkv files
