Hacking What to do....?

With the update supposedly coming tomorrow, and my wiiu collecting dust on 5.1.2, What's the best course of action now?
Will the exploit support 5.1.2, or should I update to 5.5.1 while I have the chance? Or should I get a copy of splatoon and update to 5.3.2? (this is a last resort of sorts- nintendo stuff is ungodly expensive where I live, so I don't wanna get a new game...)

Get Splatoon, DO NOT UPDATE TO 5.5.1! Don't take a chance with an exploit being released.
