Hacking What SD card vould be the best one to get?

Hello, I was thinking about getting a R4 DS. But it seems that it's very important to get a good fast SD card aswell.
According to the wiki the Corsair microSD Card 1gb has very good speeds.

# Average read 10.4MB/s
# Burst speed 10.5MB/s
Vould this be a good card to get? If not, any hints vould be greatly appreciated.
If i've understood it correctly, getting the 2gb version isn't a good idea because no 2gb cards are fast enough yet right?

Get a Kingston 1GB made in Japan. As far as I know it's the best.

The only Kingston card I can find on the webshop I use has only 8.8MB/6.5MB read/write speed. And that seems a bit lower than the Corsair card.

Hmm, the read/write speed doesn't mather as much as the access time or something I believe...
I think that for the R4 there are only 2 groups with different compatibility:
Japan Kingston, Toshiba and PNY, which play Castlevania PoR fine

Taiwanese Kingston (You randomly get either Japanese or Taiwanese Kingston when you buy one, but their completely different in performance) and just everything else, which randomly freeze in Castlevania PoR.

not completely different in performance. only thing, and i repeat, ONLY thing, is castlevania. the corsair sounds a LOT better in terms of speed. and i dont think it relies on anything other than burst speed.

Corsair is known to be a performance company so I would assume they are good but sometimes you cannot trust the specs, even newegg makes mistakes

Or you can just get a Toshiba card. The Japanese Kingston is so good because Toshiba makes Japanese cards for Kingston! I bought Toshiba 1Gb and it's amazing! Maybe even faster than Kingston. Gotta run some test on it though.

Do yes. SanDisk microSD Ultra II 2GB is fast enough, the fastest!

I've just bought a corsair 1Go, and it works very well.
But castlevania randomly freezes :'(

REally? Darn doesn't look like Corsair's a good buy then.
How about this one? Sandisk microSD Card 1024MB, microSD/Transflash, SDSDQ-1024-E10M.
Really don't know which brand of card to get now. As there is no way to know if the Kingston card on there is japanese or Taiwan.
And the read write sped of the Kingston card was listed as rahter slow too.

it's hit and miss, having a jap kingston or sandisk ultra 2 only provides you with more probability that it will work with POR... not guarantee it

if you don't play that game (POR, it's honestly not even that good).... then get whatever card your wallet can afford

read this for a start... it's at the top of the R4 forum for a reason
