I just hacked my 3DS today thanks to the lovely r4ishdc flashcart. I used the ntrboot method and installed Homebrew Launcher Rosalina v2.0.0. So anyways i'm trying to backup my streetpass data so I can use the StreetPassPuzzleEditor that will allow me to unlock all the lovely puzzle pieces. Unfortunately, what I tried so far didn't work. JKSM would give me an error "UH OH! Something went wrong writing!" and svdt is difficult to use. Checkpoint doesn't allow backup of system titles. What's the best way to backup my street pass data?

Jksm is. I'm not sure what could be causing it. What options are you picking? If all else fails you could probably use godmode9 to manually find the save.

That error means there was a difference in the size read from the archive and written to SD. I know, I suck with error reporting.

Why i'm I getting that error though? I have plenty of space on my SD card. It's a 32GB in fact.

I can manually find the save with svdt, only problem is the difficulty trying to find it, the 3DS directory is a mess.

Look up the title id for it. From there, it's as simple as going to the titles folder in the nand. I'm not sure if the saves are kept in the same place.

Usually that only comes up if you're out of space or something got messed up with the output path, like it couldn't create the file. I don't really know without examining the situation myself. I wouldn't be able to do much about it currently unless you want to give a rushed citro2d build a try sometime soon. Soon means maybe a week.

I followed this guide of hacking my 3DS on this video
I didn't do anything wrong that would be causing that error did I?

I'm not sure exactly what happened here, but for future reference, everybody here is generally against the use of video guides since they often leave out crucial info and/or are severely outdated. I don't have much time to look into this now, but in the meantime, skim through 3ds.guide and see if there are any discrepancies between it and the video tutorial.

Give this a shot and see what happens. It's a rush job and is missing a lot, but it might be able to help me get an idea of what's going on. It worked for me and I unlocked all those puzzles.

Edit: Should've probably mentioned you need to exit using Start or the Home Menu.
