ROM Hack What Pokemon ROM Hacks Are Out There in 2017?

I used to play a bunch of Pokemon ROM hacks on my Acekard 2.1 a few years ago (Storm Silver, Volt White, Origin Platinum, that sort of thing). However, I look into those ROM hacks and well...they haven't been updated in a couple of years and still have some unsolved bugs and such. My question is...are there newer, more polished hacks out there that I just don't know about because I was out of the DS ROM hacking scene for 3 years or so?

HGSS Golden Edition on Pokecommunity if you want to replay HGSS with quality of life stuff. Other than that, I don't know of anything actually good.

Check out Pokemon MindCrystal, on Pokecommunity. Its a French hack of SoulSilver, but there is a translation for it. Its probably one of the best DS hacks out there as it has future gen pokemon abilites and moves, as well things like fairy type etc. So, from a mechanics point of view, its a mind blower. Its also still being updated so it'd be good to follow as well.

Unfortunately not. However, if you read through the latest comments on the MindCrystal thread, someone shared a link to the patch there. Its one of the more recent posts

Worth mentioning, the next update will apparently include the 5th Generation Pokémon, and I say "include" because Meromero discovered a way to expand the amount of Pokémon in the ROM.

The Light Platinum NDS game is also moving foward (I tried to link provide a link to it, but it won't let me for some reason). The developer of this hack is also looking to add 802 pokemon in it as well (which is apparently done already). However, there is still a lot to be done on this as it is effectively a new hack.

Yes it has: the creator took a break to work on the 802 rom thing which seems to have taken some time. Now that is done, the game should start moving foward again.
