Hardware What mod chip should I get?

Hey you guys I was wondering what mod chip I should get. All I want to be able to do is play back up and other games only from the US on my Wii. I don't care for Japanese games I am patient and can wait for them to come out. I just want a mod chip that I can sodder in and basically just leave alone that firmware updates won't mess with and doesn't require hard updating if any updating. Oh and my wii GC2-D2B if that helps you to help me.
