I already own a 40 GB PS3 that works fine, but my friend found a 60 GB in the trash (garbage man) and gave it to me because he didn't want it. The place that sells it has to throw out any unsold merchandise after a while, thus...why I have it. Anyway, their other policy is to try to destroy it.
So then, they whacked the poor PS3 with a hammer. It went through the case and into the power supply. Regardless, I decided to test it. So far, I can turn it on, with a green light. It works fine. Everything is great, but it freezes after about 20-30 seconds. No matter what. Just completely freezes. I can still power it off by holding down the power button, but I'm still a bit confused.
Should I just order a new power supply and install it? I'm not sure if this will solve anything, but it would seem like the most logical choice.
Thank you for any answers.
