I alternative between Linux Mint and Cent OS depending on the task.
I prefer Linux Mint but it isn't good for certain things e.g. setting up SQL or compiling certain C samples (needed these at uni).
Main advantage of Arch is that it's a 'rolling release', unlike other distros which have 'major/minor' releases and may recommend a clean install.
The main downside is that it's a PITA to setup in comparison to other distros.
