Want to inject some codes into Pokemon FireRed and Emerald to then pack into a CIA to play on a 3ds. In the GBAATM program, where it says "Code Type", the only one listed is "Codebreaker/GS v3". I don't know whether or not GS means GamShark or not and was hoping someone who has used this program could help clarify. Codebreaker codes are quite limited compared to the amount of GameShark and Action Replay codes.

Yes, codebreaker or gameshark v3 codes. If i recall there was a way to covert codes to be gameshark v3 or action replay v3 codes.

So, only 16 character Gameshark v3 codes then aye? Based on this post about cheatcodes, v1/2 codes are 12 characters in length whereas v3 codes are 16. Would it be possible to convert v1/2 Gameshark codes into v3 codes? Otherwise, I've only found one v3 code for FireRed.

Honestly i don't know about converting, i remember some codes could. But i don't know of any program to do so (it was about 10 years ago) but most codes you find anyways will be v3 codes since the middle to end of the gba life cycle had gs/ar v3 devices..
