Gaming What is with Pokemon Sun/Moon?

Okay, so you guys know how there's online battles you can do and they now have options to allow special Pokemon? Well I selected that option. And the result I got wasn't satisfying. It told me something along the lines about having one or more non-allowed usable Pokemon. Wouldn't selecting 'Specials: Allowed' disregard that?

Or maybe I'm just not understanding what it means?

Oh, one more question. Is there a way to like 'add' Pokemon into Sun/Moon to be legitimate? I do want to use Pokemon online but I also don't want to obtain them legitimately, so that's what I'm trying to get at.

the way is to download and install the pokemon showdown client and play online with that.

Ah so right now there's no other way to play Sun/Moon online with illegal Pokemon, right?

That usually happens when you gen incorrectly.The Pokemon gets detected as a illegal Pokemon until you input the correct data.
