On a budget a tight one, want to play DS and gba, snes and genesis.
For those, I'm sure most Android devices would work well. I have a jailbroken iPad and they run well on that, too, but it's a bit expensive for simple emulation. I've also heard good things about the nVidia Shield tablet, which is apparently able to emulate systems like the Dreamcast. I don't have any direct experience with that one myself but I've always been interested in it.
Yeah I like that too, I was looking at the galaxy tab 4 earlier and saw some others that had windows 8 on them (no clue if they are worth looking at too)
edit: what about the nexus 7 for ds emulation?
Would you consider chinese tablets?
Check these out-
Basically, any tablet with an MT6592 (for android) or Atom 3735F(Win/android dual boot) with 1 or 2 GB RAM can easily emulate the NDS and even the PSP and other systems.
The above tabs are cheap and tested products and the 3rd one is especially interesting (not to mention the strongest of the bunch and exclusively for emulation).
