ROM Hack What is Hacking on 3DS?

Hello people,

I want to know what are the ricks to hack our 3ds and what we have to do to avoid any problems. I don't know what are all that things, what is the FBI and CIA (which the names scared me for 3ds, like been ban or brake all the system of the 3ds), the LumaSaltySD thing, etc... Well, I don't know any of all.
I see that we can have custom homescreen, mod textures (but models I don't know) in Super Smash Brothers... but I don't know every steps to do...
Please, help me, learn and tell me how to do and what is... all.

PS: I maybe understand very well english but I have some limits.

I'm sorry, I don't see what every tools are, only their names. They come from nowhere for me... First they talk about Homebrew, after Custom Firmware like Homebrew is not usefull. And I saw on Internet that there is other software like Homebrew or more advanced... And many times I see people talk about FBI and CIA software but don't say what they are...
It's like all body know what is it like it's logic or else but I'm the only one who doesn't know these...

Yes(assuming you have CFW on your 3DS), and the download link is in that same thread. And about to avoid being banned:
1.Turn off your spotpass on your system settings.
2.Turn off friends notification settings on friend list.
3.Or Don't play Pirated Pokemon (or any other) games online.

I don't have CFW, and I have to disable ALL things about the friends list? I only see that we have to disable SpotPass and show what I play, do I have to disable showing me to my friends that I'm online? So I will cannot play online after?

It is better if you do it "before".

You must have a CFW on your 3DS to run FBI(title installer etc..) to install CIA(games, Titles, Updates, DLC, etc...)
This should be my best answer for now.

Since a screwup here can brick your console, I'd definitely recommend using the French tutorial, so you can understand all of it perfectly.
