What is "Art"

"art" is what "artists" create.

Video games are "product", but they definitely contain a lot of elements created by artists... so, much like any website or magazine, they all contain "art", but are generally not inherently "art" in and of themselves.

And he makes it pretty clear he is not a fan of video games, so he is biased from the get go.
He also seems to believe in the fallacy that to be considered art, something must be comparable to the works made by the greatest artists. He sets the bar so high that most art would not qualify. But art doesn't have to be good to be considered art.

The mainstream Art world suffered from 'Emperor New Clothes Syndrome'. If someone said 'This is Art', everyone agrees because they don't want to look ignorant - even though the art looks like children painting.

Art is letting your soul flow through doing what you love. It is showing your emotions only pencil strokes and paint can convey. It is pouring your passion into every dance step you perform. It is getting really into the lyrics of the song you are singing. It’s letting your character become a part of you. It is imagining a better yet flawed world and describing it with words. It is anything and everything that makes you happy and let’s you express you.

Lots of great answers here. Personally I'm in the camp that all creative expression is art, and that all art is valid; even if you might not like it, someone out there does and your personal distaste doesn't discount that it means something to someone.

Art is different for each person. One person's garbage is another's treasure. Be prepared for people to have radically different interpretations and definition, which for most artists is what makes them some passionate about it.
