I have shrunk about ten games, and the only one that I have run into that would not far after being shrunk and put onto a multiboot gamecube disc is Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Are there a lot of others?

Is it common?

Is there a list anywhere? If not, who's starting one? I'll contribute!

I have shrunk and put into one multiboot disc and am currently burning all available Zelda games including:

Collector's Edition (multiple games on one disc)
Ocarina of Time & Masterquest
Four Swords Adventures
The Wind Waker
Twilight Princess

BTW, there aren't any other related Zelda games for the GameCube, are there? I know he makes a cameo in Soul Calibur II, any others?

Thanks!

Results so far:

Legend of Zelda - Collector's Edition: will boot the game, but when a game is selected from the menu, it gives a black screen. I tried choosing with and without progressive scan, and I tried the original Zelda, Majora's Mask and Ocarina of time, all give the same result. Found another reported this as well, even when not shrinking and using Multiboot. Burned without shrinking and without Multiboot, worked! I may try and put it on a Multiboot disk later without shrinking to test.

Legend of Zelda - Four Swords Adventures: appears to work fine.

Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time/Masterquest Multi-Pack: gets to 'Game Video Mode Options' screen, shows "No Banner" and will not accept any button input, including B to return to the menu.

Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker: appears to work fine.

Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess: appears to work fine.

If you are going to the extent of compiling a list, you must include all variables.
ie. Console region (PAL/NTSC/JP), game region (PAL/NTSC/JP), GCM compressed/not compressed, tested all GCOS system types (PAL/PAL60/NTSC/480p/Auto) and so on.

Anything I list is:

Console: NTSC US
Game Region: NTSC US (Unless otherwise stated)
Compression: Yes (that is the whole point of the list)
Testing all System Types: I use Auto, if it does not work, then I will go on to try NTSC or 480p (and will state if it was a necessary step to make it work).

Try that one unshrunk.

I downloaded it and used FSTFix, and tried to play it in my gamecube, and got the same results as you're describing.

I haven't tried it on my wii because I tossed the dvd it was on.

I've been playing with my Gamecube collection the last few days too. I have compiled a rough list while playing with Google's spreadsheet thing. You can see it's current state, here. Everything was done on my NTSC-U Wii.

So far, Mario Golf refuses to work shrunk down. SSX Tricky refuses to work within Make-Multi made disks. I posed this question in the other thread on Make-Multi, but if there's enough interest, we can throw it into some sort of page on the Wiki for everyone to contribute.

DVD+RWs are your friend when messing with this stuff.

If you get a "No Banner", just press B and try again. Happened to me twice too, but after re-selecting the game it worked fine.

Ah, nice Topic to ask my question.

I have some problems with a handfull GC games. I don't shrink them, just burn 3 GC games per
disk. i am making multi images with the command line tool: make-multiv3. this tool got an
"audio fix" implemented. but some of the games still got audio errors (i guess it has something to do with
streaming audio), for example Mario Baseball (NTSC). it works great. before starting, GCOS tells
me it "settings up the audio", the game starts (i play on PAL Wii), title menu works fine blah blah, but
when the match starts, the music goes like "KKKKKKKKRRRRRRRRRRZZZZZZZZZZZZZ". so, is the
"audiofix" not working? got this error on 2 other games too.

any way to fix this? even with multiboot GC disk?

thx in advance
