I want to know if I buy the PSP 3000 in a bundle what firmware is it going to be? What firmware is the PSP 3000 bundle with Rockband Unplugged on and what firmware is PSP 3000 Bundle Ratchet and Klank on?

Again I did but all those topics were old. I didn't know if they update the firmware on the PSP in the bundles, I thought they only updated the PSPs alone like the PSP Core.

The rock band bundle comes with the exact firmware you need.

The PSP's firmware was .02 below what you need and the rock band game has the firmware you need to update to on it.
That was the bundle I got and it works perfect. I'm even posting this from my PSP.

So your saying the firmware that Rockband Unplugged PSP comes with is 5.02? Which is the hackable one right? I don't even remember a 5.02 firmware wasn't it 5.00 and then went 5.03?

There are several reports of Rock Band bundles with OFW 5.50.

Just letting you know.

There's no 100% guarantee you'll get 5.02.

5.03 minus .02 equals 5.01

It worked for me and I got mine in Augest or July 2009. At Best Buy.

Was at 5.01 then used rock band to update to 5.03 ,then hacked it.

Before you buy a PSP-3000 in the retail stores (not online stores), look for the box codes with one letter, in the box of a PSP. Just look at the box to find a letter to look for 'A', 'C' and without a letter, because its firmware is lower than 5.03, and it's the best option to get the custom firmware via ChickHEN. If a PSP box says 'B', 'D' and 'E', just stay away from them because the firmware on a PSP is unknown (it could be higher than 5.03).

I picked up a Psp-3000 Piano black yesterday (No bundle) and it came with 5.02.

Not sure of the manufacture date though.
