Hardware what firmware allows for sdxc cards?

So I picked up a 64gb sdxc card today and formatted it to fat32. I put it in my o3DS that's been downgraded to 4.5 and it doesn't want to pick it up. I know that Nintendo patched the 3ds to allow for sdxc cards so I was wondering if I need to reupgrade to 9.2 or if there's something else going on here.

4.x should deal with it correctly. I forget the specifics, but there's certain settings for sector size and such that need to be specified iirc

hmmm wonder what's going on then. I put the card in and it gives me an error. Tried formatting it with multiple different tools, always the same result

Ah, cluster size, that's what it was. That's actually the exact page I used to set mine up too, so it should work just fine if you follow it step by step.

thanks, seems I forgot to format it as primary and left it as default. That fixed it
