What filesystem does the 3DS firm0 partition use?

    if your trying to clone your memory card and image it to a bigger one i know a few steps that worked for me

    FIRM header which stores section hashes have signature check, so it won't work. Your only option is to manually load sections to memory using one of exciting exploits and make your way back to Home Menu. Format is explained here:

    Also if you interested in signature patches you may want to look into latest arm9 firm section of exciting 4.5 CFW, I believe RAM dump can be obtained using command:

    Have you ever thought it might not have a filesystem and is just a huge binary? Because that's basically it.

    Well, you can try edit one byte in some unused strings like 'Nintendo', fix section hash and see if it loads, doubt it will though.
