Homebrew What exactly does this hack do?

Hi guys I'm a noob when it comes to 3DS hacking and would like to know what this hack does if I do decide too install it on my N3DS XL.



It says I can play homebrew. So does that mean I can install pretty much any internet downloaded 3DS game?

My firmware version is 11.0.35-U. Would like to know (if 3DS games won't work) what homebrews are, what are some useful homebrews and what kind of games I can play with this hack?

Also will my 3DS get banned by Nintendo if I install this thing?

Other things that can get you banned from being stupid include posting custom Miiverse images, posting home menu screenshots with homebrew or (especially) freeshop, or sending an obviously hacked 3ds in for warranty.

Its close to impossible to brick with that guide. Tons have completed fine. (Most members on this site have completed it with no brick)

No you can't pirate with soundhax.

You can't play any games. Installing CFW has a very slim chance of failing. The guide linked has been worked on for almost a year and is extremely safe.

The chances of bricking is extremely low.
And you can install legit CIA's through soundhax, but that's a very limited number of games and still comes with a small risk. Everything hacking related comes with a risk, but it's worth it.

It's more of a slim chance for bricking your 3DS, like there's a chance for you getting struck by lightning anytime you go outside. How to increase your chance? Not following the guide correctly. How to increase your chance of getting struck by lightning? Go outside during a thunder storm with a medal rod.

11.0 is the same as 11.0.35 (35 is just the broswer version)

Nintendo version numbers have for numbers, x.x.x-x. The last number is unrelated to this and doesn't matter, and the third number is always 0. 11.0 means 11.0.0.whatever.

I don't have to use the hardmob(open the device ) anymore?

I asked that because a fellow here in my country told me that only opening the device and welding something
will do the job.

This exploit is super recent, so many people aren't aware of this new method. I can guaruntee you will be fine.

You can't play any games with Soundhax (apart from Homebrew ones like Doom or Wolfenstein).

The only way you can brick (while following the 3DS guide linked in a previous post) is if your nickname is 'Hiroshima-Hands' [clumsily destroys things with ease], and you ignore the guide/skip bits of it.

It has an INCREDIBLY low fail rate if you follow the guide to a T. If you don't follow the guide - then you'll only have yourself to blame if anything goes wrong. If you do follow the guide - welcome to CFW!
