So I think Super Mario Maker on the Switch is an inevitability, and like Mario Kart 8, and the much rumored/no way it isn't happening Super Smash Bros for Switch titles I suspect they would take the Wii U version and add more content to the Switch version. So, what would you like to see added to Super Mario Maker?

There are a ton of possibilities of what could be added, but I'll start with something we've all missed: Slopes
I'm sure that's far easier said than done, I bet slopes introduce all sorts of technical issues and bugs, but if they can get it working properly, I'm sure the Switch would have it.

Beyond that, I'd like to see missing powerups, for Mario 3: Tanooki, Frog Suit, and Hammer Bros Suit. For NSMB: Penguin Suit, Freeze Flower, Flying Squirrel Suit, and the wearable Turtle Shell. I think it could still do without some powerups though like the Mini and Mega mushrooms. For Super Mario World, different colored koopas that when Yoshi eats them give him the powers they gave him in Super Mario World.

Ability to play as Luigi and have a 2 player mode like the classic Super Mario Bros games where you take turns as Mario and Luigi.

Finally, this would be the biggest addition I think: 1 or 2 extra classic Mario platformers to design in the style of: Super Mario Bros 2/USA and/or Yoshi's Island. Now if they added these modes, because they play so differently than the 4 other styles, they'd have to kind of be in their own mode when you design, like you couldn't switch to or from those game styles on the fly with a touch of a button, as they're just so different overall.

I think a 2 player co-op would be better suited for the Switch, since it already comes with two Joy Cons and games seem to be using this fairly well

I only considered that for the NSMB mode, but now that I think about, I don't see why 2 player co-op couldn't be implemented into all the available Mario game modes. Playing SMB3 with a friend as Mario and Luigi at the same time would be great, and like NSMB, if one of you gets off screen, you could bubble up and float over to the other player.

Dont know how well that game sold.
But if it sold well they will add it to the switch.
Joycons have motion which can be use to aim, drag and drop items.
In before anyone saysnit wont work. My tv uses motion controls and it works out great.

So i can see a mario maker coming.

As for Smash they will make a new one. It would be the best thing to do for them

There are Luigi sprites for SMB1, SMB3, SMW and NSMB.
At least part of the work is already done

It sold well and was ported to the 3DS, there is no way its not coming to the Switch. And all the early rumors that are credible (have been right about other things confirmed for the Switch) is that Smash for Switch will be an enhanced port of Smash for the Wii U with a few new fighters and stages, likely including the Smash Run from the 3DS and possibly some other new features as well.

Yeah you'll probably be able to point and create with the JoyCon, but I imagine most people would just design levels on the Switch's Touch Screen as it'd just be easier.

2 Player Mode I hope will be added.

I'd also like them to allow users to create worlds (bunch of levels) to mimic official Mario games, but not sure that will happen.

luigi, duh.

I don't think they are gonna remake it, think about, all the games that are getting remakes are games that they didn't port to the 3ds, MK8, Splatoon,
just speculation though

I don't see why they wouldn't. The 3DS version is a stripped down version of the Wii U version, the game is beloved and seems like the kind of game that will live on indefinitely, so of course they'd bring it to the latest system.

USA Super Mario bros 2, super mario land 1 and 2 Content and graphics? How about a map maker? To make maps in the style of super mario world and/or bros 3 but with the NEW era graphics. How about Wario and Walugi, toad and toadette?

I hope nothing because I'd like a new game instead of remakes.

Cuz these ports take up full development teams and eat up so much time. I highly doubt these enhanced game ports are eating into much time for brand new titles. Honestly I'd hate if they built a brand new Super Smash Bros when Smash Wii U is so new and for the most part everything one could want, the only issue is that it was lacking some things that people wanted, not that it played bad like Brawl. So I say make the ports and add in new content, if these games aren't broken, no need to build new ones like them from the ground up.

All smash bros have been horrible due to horrible controls and NPCs random escapes from death, when they been knocked far from the ledge....Nintendo needs to release a takken or soul caibler like game with the smash characters. Now that would be incredible! Or an paper mario turn based style game in an Nintenverse featuring them.
