Gauntlet was cancelled, but i didnt care much about it anyway. I'm not looking forward to anything, due to the fact that i have waited faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar tooooooooooooooooooooooo long for certain games I'm looking at you, KH, and my enthusiasm for DS games has evaporated. No thanks, sticking with my PSP.

GameFAQS says TBD, Nintendo's site says Feb 2009, Amazon just says Out of Stock (no preorder button), and Backbone Entertainment's site (the devs for the game) also says Feb '09 (February 28, 2009 to be exact.) I got to play it a bit at last year's PAX and it was pretty fun and I was excited that it had wifi with chat so it stood to have some good online gaming times. I hope it wasn't cancelled (as Raika mentioned...though I couldn't find any source info that states that) as I've been looking forward to this one for quite some time.

As for C.O.R.E., I'll believe in it when I'm actually playing it. Until then, it's all cleverly disguised vaporware as far as I'm concerned.

UPDATE: I shot an email to Backbone asking about Gauntlet, we'll see if/when they get back to me with anything.

And, I guess if I really need a fix I can pick up the GBA 2-in-1 Gauntlet/Rampart. Amazon has it for about $5.

There's always a thread like this after a big wave of releases in any community, whether it be 360, DS, or anything else. And yes, there is stuff to look forward to. There always is.

Take the opportunity now to perhaps go back and play games you passed over in the BFoR. (Big Flood of Releases.
