Hacking What do I need to do to update my Wii?

This time always comes after 3 or so months.. a new game comes out that I can't play so I need to update my Wii. In this case it's Black Ops.

So what files from the last 3+ months do I need to use to update my Wii?

launching from USB?

i have wanin cIOS[57]v20@250 and Hermes cIOS[57]v5.1@224....
i use wiiflow[250] and then launch with IOS224....works for me....

there's quite a few combinations that work, but every one has Hermesv5.1[57] and waninv19/20[57] in common...launch the loader with one, launch the game with the other....

is this standard wad stuff to install with wad manager?

or homebrew channel loader?

and i load games off a usb harddrive

get your hands on the wanin cIOSv20b installer and the Hermesv5.1 installer....

put in apps folder...run in HBC. ...probably easiest to do the installs via network from there....

for Wiiflow, i use a HBC app boot.dol as well....i'm pretty sure you can get that from the google source page....

of cfg is your loader of choice, install v20[57] in 249 (instead of 250) and v5.1 in 224...launch cfg (default is 249 for the loader), launch with 224....

Ok I installed hermes 5.1, I think
it said something like install for uloader.. let me select and i select 224 and 57



then I installed ciosv20b with 224 base 57 in 249. I think.


anything else i need to do?

Still couldn't get black ops to get past first loading screen
