So im installing al9h using Plailect guide and now im starting to wonder...:

What could be the reasons of a having a brick while installing it?

And from 0 to 10, how much is possible to brick your 3ds even if you followed everything you had to do?

Asking this since everytime i try to do it, in EMU/SYSnand dump i turn back and decide to keep Menuhax...oops

There are "deterministic" causes that are mostly the user's fault (using the wrong OS for your hardware, poor quality SD, battery falls out)...
...and a chance of the downgade to 9.2 completing correctly, but only booting to a black screen or error message. The cause of this is still not clear (current theory is "the console you're working on did/received a system transfer"), but doing a factory reset first prevents this!

1. User error

3. User error

About a .021% to brick your console if it's not you screwing up
You forgot 5.
Which is User error.

Joking aside. It always is user error, unless for some unexplained reason your 3DS just decided to crap on you at that very moment.

Probably why the guide uses Hourglass9 now, because people would always seem to forget the keep a9lh option at the end with the previous revision of the guide, and would blame it on the guide, and not their lack of not picking the correct option.

I've seen cases where NAND restore broke somehow due to a dying SD card, which is partially user error but I blame them a lot less on that one.

Besides the fact that is for sure unclear the motive, it probably has something to do with extra tittles installed
