Acekard2i or New R4isdhc silver??

If I were you OP, I would get the "New" Silver r4isdhc flashcard, but there are a couple of reasons why you should get an Acekard 2i. The upload save feature of the Acekard 2i is a great feature, saving you space on your micro sd card, and ensuring you don't lose a save file. The Acekard 2i also has other online features such as usrcheat.dat file updates, as well as kernel updates, BUT only if you use WEP Security for your Home Network! IIRC the Acekard 2i interfaces with the GameCube system well, but maybe the "New" Silver r4isdhc flashcard does also (I never tested it). Besides that, nothing else comes to mind between what distinguishing features an Acekard 2i has that other great budget flashcards don't. I know the build quality on an Acekard 2i is absolute shit, and you will most likely run into problems sooner or later. Why can't that f'ing team fix their build design?!

The "New" Silver r4isdhc flashcard also has some positive qualities, some not so positive. The "New" Silver r4isdhc card has a better build quality, better support (as of today), and has real time saving. I think the build quality of the "New" Silver r4isdhc flashcard is about as good as you're going to get in a flashcard, it's near the top of the list. This flashcard is made with a thicker plastic than most of the other flashcards, and it's sticker looks much more stylish too. Moving on, right now support is everything at this point in the game, and while the Acekard team does provide support, it's lazy support. For instance, lets say you update your DS so you can use the e-shop, with an Acekard 2i you'll be waiting for a longer period of time for the Acekard team to release a firmware update. The r4isdhc team has been issuing updates for firmware quick, so you might have to wait a day or two in this kind of situation versus weeks with an Acekard 2i. The "New" Silver r4isdhc card has real time saves! Real time saves are great, especially for a portable device like the DS. This feature is usually only available on much more expensive cards, but the r4isdhc team have included it on theirs, without a price hike. Real time saving, in itself, is a solid reason to buy this card. As far as game updates go, I wouldn't worry to much on this subject since very few new games are being released. The one thing that bothers me about the r4isdhc team is they drop support out of nowhere for their flashcards and then make a new flashcard that they fully support!

So yeah, a "New" silver r4isdhc card is a better buy. I hope I helped you decide a little better than when you first posted your question.

But acekard 2i is fine too, but I don't know how active the AKAIO team is at the moment. for a safe bet I would go with the R4i Gold, and Download the latest firmware off Filetrip.

just one question for other people here, the Acekard also supports WOOD right? so I practically there isn't much of a different between both cards?

I am pretty sure Ak2i can not use Wood, even though Wood is essentially a copy of AKAIO IIRC. I also believe that the AKAIO team update the loader pretty often which is all you need for game compatibility.

Strange huh, not that it really matters if it's an exact copy of AKAIO, because you will end up with almost the same firmware then. but the WOOD is also pretty often updated so for game compatibility there isn't much of a difference either.

But I don't think buying both because you still can't choose isn't a very bright idea, so go with the one you think looks the best.

Don't go with that card. It's an even worse clone than the last one.
Just go with an actually good card and go with the R4i Gold that people have posted before.
It's actually a good budget card.

jimmyemunoz, we should keep away from cards relesed by r4isdhc.com. The team behind this site always abandon the old cards released by them .When they release r4isdhc silver new, they have stopped updating the kernel and releasing the updating patch for r4isdhc silver old.They just want the users to buy their new products.
I just bought r4isdhc silver old 2 months ago and can not get my card working on 3DS 4.3.0-10 just because they have stopped the technical support for the old products.
Therefore, all of us shold say no to r4isdhc.com and keep away from the cards released by r4isdhc.com.

The only suggested cart anymore with RTS is the DSTwo (and it has GBA emulation as well, but note that it's emulation and not perfect).

All of them have cheat support and (out of game) text reader support.

I have a quick question. I plan on getting a 3DS XL soon along with a flashcard. How exactly does 3DS online system work? Is it the same as DSi and etc? Where you use friend code and the firmware of your DS does not affect whether or not you can play online?

The Acekard 2i is a great card, but has connection problems and the old hardware tends to take a little longer to update when the DSi/3DS updates.

R4isdhc silver is a crap clone and I advice avoiding it.

I want one with a reasonable price that supports Wifi and Download play and ofc no save problems like corruptions.

Most, flashcarts you buy support those things, and ANY price for a flashcart is reasonable. Seriosly.... A single 3DS game costs more than the price you pay for the best flashcart you can get that can also update itself post-firmware update without assistance from another DS handheld. I mean jesus fucking christ.... They all allow you to gain the ability to have free access to over 6000 NDS roms for the price of less than 3DS, and most often a NDS game. If you use the words "reasonable price" in a sentence where flashcart is the context, then you're just the absolute worse kind of stingy.
