Hacking What am I doing wrong?

I am attempting to follow the most recent (as of right now) Wii modding guide on wiihacks, I get to the d2x part and I input all of the settings as it says to do it, I continue to the next screen with all of the numbers in blocks, one of them is red, 4 of the are purple, I press A thinking it would let me progress further but it won’t let me, it says something about not getting the host name, it has been 2 days since I ran into this problem and I have no way of fixing it, please tell me something I could do to remedy this issue

I'm not exactly up to date on Wii hacking anymore, but back in the days, I always used ModMii successfully to update the CFW. I never had any issues. If you haven't tried it yet, you should. I think it's still being maintained nowadays.

Sounds like the cios d2x installer can't connect to the server to download the required files, try downloading them with Modmii like @Dust2dust suggested.

Modmii is just a PC program to download stuff to hack your Wii, so yeah, it doesn't mess with your SD card in any way.

drag and drop your syscheck report into Modmii, then Modmii will tell you what to install or what is missing.

Syscheck is a program that checks which ios versions you have installed, when it's done it generates a syscheck.csv file, that's the report. You can get both the program and the steps to use it from this site:

Insert your SD card or USB drive into your Wii, and launch SysCheck ModMii Edition from the Homebrew Channel. Read the whole page and follow the instructions.

After you generate your report, copy it to your PC and read the Installing Modmii and Syscheck Updater Wizard sections on this page:
