r4ids gold (CN wood) supported 1.4.1 via an update

R4iGold (R4iDS.com - for Akaio) didnt offer a firmware update, you had to buy another card (2.0) for it to support 1.4.1, so i would go with the first one, at least this time they gave you the update via a small download without having to buy another card

So all 2.0 COM-Gold-cards are supporting 1.4.1 now? Is this correct?

I'll get both cards anyway. But I'm an Akaio boy, I'd like to stick to Akaio (COM).

Any idea where I could buy one of the now officially supported by Wood ones ?
From the UK only(Unless the shipping is fast and free from outside), checked out the ones on the official site(I think) but they all come from across Europe and I'm hoping for it to come before Christmas.

What's the difference between the r4idsn and the r4i gold (from r4ids.cn)?

One is 50cents more than the other, is there a difference in quality build?

I'd like to know

My link keeps getting changed to a shoptemp one! I assume this is normal!

Anyway I'm going to try using a site called price angels

They appear to have lots of other similar products on the site- but I think there is one that matches the box on r4ids.cn.

This is not exactly true.
The pre 2.0 cards from www.r4ids.com can be flashed with the 1.4.1 update from www.r4ids.cn.
These are recognisable with www.r4ids.com on the sticker

The only reason I would buy it is because of wood, but my question is, what is the build quality of the card - I'm not thrilled with the AceKard 2i build quality.

You understand that we're talking about 8-Euro-cards here, right?

It has the bulid quality of a 8-Euro-McDonald's menu. OK?

R4i Ultra has indeed a better shell than Acekard. Since both cards (cn and com) are Ultra clones, you can hope the best. But you should try yourself & tell us.
