Seems weird, wanting a new card because my system is kaputz, but one of the major reasons for this is because the DS Lite is slowly getting phased out, so I'd rather get a card that works on the current hardware, that being the DSi. Bonus points if it's compatible with the 3DS.

So, what card would suffice my needs? Cyclo DS iEvolution or something similar?

Would you mind telling me what makes those better than the Cyclo DS iEvolution? All I've ever used is an R4 and CycloDS, so these other models are very alien to me.

Price isn't really a factor. Quality is.

Supercard has additional CPU so that It can emulate GBA and SNES games. And it has alot of useful plugins. But Cyclo iEvolution has DSi mode...

Hmm...How well can the Supercard emulate GBA games? And is there currently any particular purpose for DSi mode with some games, other than region-locking?

If price is no option don't think just buy supercard dstwo. I bought two of them so I would have one as backup for whatever reason. There is so much It can do and the team is constantly releasing updates. Confirmed to work on 3DS also.

I don't no that unfortunately. Yes DSi mode allows the flashcart to use the cameras and additional RAM. There already is a GBA emulator for DSi mode in the making, but you can only load roms smaller than 2mb's adn the framerate is only 1/2 fps.

Hmm. That seems to be the most requested model here...but on some sites it's listed as a cheaper product than the Cyclo...

I guess the battle for me is DSi-features (Which aren't that grand..) versus GBA emulation (I don't know the quality of it). How fares the emulation, anyway?

GBA emulation is pretty good, runs most games fast. There's tons of home brew for It and imenu that is great that Spinalcord made. There's emulators for most of the older systems. Check out filetrip to see them all.

Well, for the DS2 I heard that its good... As for the Cyclo, its GBA emulation is still in the making so it can only load r0ms 2mb or less, and only 1 frame-per-second which is terrible and unplayable. If you really want GBA emulation RIGHT NAOW get a DS2, though if you want DSi mode AND GBA emulation (in the future) than get the Cyclo.

Hmm, figure I might as well get a Supercard then...

Question though: Is there a functional Game Boy/Game Boy Color emulator available for it? I'm spoiled with VisualBoyAdvance in that I expect GBA support to blanket over those as well.

Yes, Lameboy (google it) and it works for normal carts too.

Okay, I see. Thanks, guys. :3

I have one weird question though, mainly about 3DS. Will the card be upscale-able to the screens like legit carts? You know, not exactly DS resolution, but brought up more.

No, 3DS mode is still not hacked so no.

Yeah that's an iffy question since you would have to have a Japanese version 3ds to know. Even though the 3ds will have a better screen resolution doubt the oldies will benefit from It. I am looking forward to the stick though, hopefully that will work better with the fighting games and such.

If the 3DS can do that with a DS game...then probably...if it can't, don't ever expect it.

I'm referring to the default resolution bump as seen in this video.

What I'm asking is will the Supercard support that stretching?
