Is there a way to mod in Classic Controller support, to make the console at the very least remotely playable, and not a migraine-causing, rage-inducing piece of garbage?

Like, for the vast majority of the system's library that idiotically eschewed proper controls to focus on "casual"-friendly, inaccurate, dysfunctional, experimental pointer controls that were never worth the money or plastic spent on development or customer purchase?
I do know the console itself supports it, of course, but most games don't, and that's the issue.

I love the Wii and DS, so many different and unique concepts for games. We don't see that anymore nowadays...

I liked how much connectivity the DS had with the Wii... the 3DS and Wii U almost had that same thing going on, would have been fun. Shame the Wii U didn't do well.
