I love Opera, it's good not just as a browser but as a whole, its just a fantastic application. though on Ubuntu, Firefox feels more like a native app. Minefield is also interesting.

Safari is useless outside of a Mac and Chrome is as fast and stable as strapping yourself to a giant rocket.

Funny you should say that about FF. Actually, people have been feeling like Mozilla has been treating the linux (for whatever reason I forget the word so I? just gonna use an incorrect one and hope you know what I mean) compilations as afterthoughts. I understand it feels more native, being default from your distribution, and also being open source, but yeah.

I dont know how stable I would feel strapped to a giant rocket but Chrome seems to have no noticeable bugs or random crashes (and actually allows a tab to crash without bringing down the whole browser, which is nice)!

Edit: Also why are you on linux if you don't bother using open source "alternatives" when available? xD

FOSS is not for web browsers, sporty. That's one of those things best left to a closed source. Minefield sucks anymore. Besides Linux is going to be an afterthought, it still being unpopular.

Also, I don't really believe in FOSS. I just like Linux, I would definitely pay to use Ubuntu.

Google Chrome
...
Perhaps too lite
No private browsing
Add on's can be buggy
No reliable mouse controls

So the browser that basically started the whole private browser thing, doesn't support it.. oh shi-

and when is 'Minorly customizable' a pro for any browser especially when you put 'Incredibly Customizable' as a pro for other browser. This review doesn't make sense. Sorry, but seems like you need to do some research beforehand. And besides, a browser based off of IE is in the top? Hope you know that IE is also bad because of it's Web Engine.

So yeah, it was mouse "gestures"
Chrome being "lite" means the interface, too lazy to test the RAM usage.
There should be obvious bias, it's my review.
And the mouse gesture add on I used in Chrome was buggy.
After using mouse gestures for a while I personally feel like I need it in my browser, so that's why it's a negative if a browser doesn't have it.
So, yup.
Also, Safari got a terrible score because it's plain, but also cuz I hate Apple. Yeah it's unscientifically bias, but wutever.
I take it, you didn't even try the mouse gesture addon for firefox then?

I think they may have added a premium ad block plus, and dumbed down the free one so people would pay.
Adblock plus and easylist are both non profit open source organisation, so no, they have not. Some websites just find ways of getting around the easylist filters (like storing ads on the same server), but you can easily block it manually.

I don't see why Flashgot is needed though. What does it have over Jdownloader's link grabber?
link grabber only works with a list of plaintext links, if it is a list of actual hyperlinks it does not work.

Security through obscurity is no security.

1. Well I guess all of my regular sites must have found a way around it all at once then :\
Like one second I had no ads when watching a show on hulu, the next second I get 3 ads per commercial block and youtube is chalk full of ads.

2. True, but whenever I tried flashgot it would grab EVERYTHING on the page. Like if there was a list of links on mediafire it would download every image, php file, etc.
Plus for the link grabber you could always right click and copy it.

On one screen, I've got you saying youtube is full of ads. On the other screen, I've got FireFox with youtube playing Road Wars yet there's not a single advert anywhere to be seen. At all. Strange that.

Yah try watching copyrighted material or listening to music on youtube, you'll be bombarded by ads.

Also check the front page, it has quite a bit of ads that don't get blocked automatically (that used to be blocked automatically).

FireFox is so heavy, it takes a long time to load compared to chrome, which is why my main browsers are Chrome and Opera, not that I don't use FireFox, it has too many things it can do to ignore.
Strange, it doesn't take much time for it to load up for me.
Did you have any plugins installed by any chance?
Did you try booting Firefox up in safe mode?

1)I think you must have borked it then, I get no ads on youtube, don't know about hulu because I am outside the US. If you have problems though try posting on their forums, they are quite helpful.

2) right click, flashgot selection.

Nope. Front page empty. Copyrighted material empty. Have you correctly configured EasyList? Also, as mentioned before, you can always manually add an ad domain (e.g. *doublecllick.com*) and it'll get rid of all ads from that domain.
