Finally some footage! I'm quite pleased about the music in this game and more than happy with the style they're going for.

I got that same vibe from the video. Wayforward, Adventure Time, Zelda II... sounds good to me.

Buying the 3DS version. Looks great even if I won't understand much of the Adventure Time references. I trust Wayforward.

So the 3DS version just has added 3D effects? DS is the version to go plus free. :)
Unless you like supporting the developers for making a good game.

I'm actually going to support them and buy it on the 3ds.

Yes, they said they got inspiration from Zelda 2 themselves. I think...

I'm buying it on DS, well if it gets released over here otherwise I'll have to import but then that's usually cheaper what with our tax being high here.

Yeah in the latest Nintendo Power, they state they were doing it in various ways, initially Metroidy but then decided that a Zelda II sty;e game would be perfect.

Why is this game getting so much hype?

Because it's Adventure Time.

I'm not saying that as a sarcastic douchebag though, Adventure Time is really popular (and with good reason) and there's a solid developer behind this. Plus it feels more like a labor of love to the series rather than your typical Cartoon Network cash-in.

1. WayForward tend to make games that are really good. Even their "work for hire" stuff is better than most other developers. They made an excellent Sabrina the Teenage Witch game for GBC...now that is talent!
2. Adventure Time is an excellent series that people tend to disregard as stupid despite it actually being really deep. Its a kids show that adults of any age enjoy as well.
3. Combine both and Zelda II gameplay and you've got a winner.

Game looks pretty good so far from the trailer. Can't wait for it to come out, I'll probably have to buy 2 copies for 3DS so I can get some play time while my boy's playing his.

Im so hyped for this game, i love adventure time so much. I remember when the show first came out how skeptical i was about it. Now im as excited as my little brothers are when a new episode is coming on.

Also worth mentioning is that WayForward also did Shantae.

I don't really see their logic in releasing a DS version & a 3DS version. Surely the DS version is just going to cut into sales from people who would have bought it on the 3DS, but decide to pirate instead?

I'm sure I'm going to get hate, but that looks like the plainest platformer I've ever seen. The art style, the level design, etc. Adventure Time is cool, but this just looks kind of crappy.
You can say the same about Zelda II.

I don't know that show.
Is it the first game from that show on a console? I'm curious to test last games if there were any.

The game have the feeling of different games, zelda2, wonderboy, Battle of Olympus (Battle of Olympus being the most noticeable for me, and a good thing!)
and the top view kind of remind me Mother's graphics. (earthbound)
8bit musics are so nostalgic.
