I thought Batman BatB was pretty good. Here I think they're definitely putting a lot of time into it to make it less of an "obligatory licensed video game" and something more in line with a quality video game based off good media.
I was reading an interview where they stated that they had less than 6 months to make both the Wii & DS versions and that they couldn't put all of their team on it because they had other games they needed to finish. As well as that there were pauses in development while DC/WB were checking over the work they did to make sure it didn't hurt the franchise. To me both games turned fine enough considering the budget and time restraints they get.

People could say "derp derp why don't they just do a Wii version", well here is the thing, developers may have to accept certain conditions to get granted a project and having to do a DS version may have been one of those conditions. Still there are very few developers who can do "work for hire" jobs and do something decent.

If that was six months of work right there then I'm blown the fuck away. I mean the games weren't exactly game of the year but they were pretty damn enjoyable.
