Hacking Want SD Card loader, but afraid to lose certain hacks on Wii

Here's the gist of it. A long time ago, my friend and I found a guide that allows us to mess with the wii's cIOS and other settings. At the end of it all, the Disc Channel was able to play our backup discs as well as be moved to different channel areas rather than it's usual top-left corner.

However, I'm getting a lot of game channels now and I'm running out of room, so I wanted to update my Wii to 4.2 and get all the new features, including the SD Card Loader. However, I'm afraid updating it will make me lose all the things I've done.

I dont mind if I need to redo it all if there's an updated guide and everything, but if there's no new version at all and the only option left is to use a backup launcher homebrew tool (which I have disliked for a while) or a USB loader, then I will be sadfaced.

So, anyone have any news on this?

Just sounds like you have Preloader and cIOScorp honestly. You can update and reinstall the updated versions of both. Priiloader and cIOScorp 3.6 last time I checked.
