What would we want this for?
The reason Nintendo will ban us is bullshit, I mean that

Yeah, really, I mean why would a company take a step to prevent piracy?
And I can't imagine anyone ever detecting and disabling an online system for a modded system!

We are not talking about
Microsoft "MONEY MONEY, I have all the money in the world and I spend it on shit software to sell, but I want more I'm addicted to money!!!"
We are talking about
Nintendo "We can't do that"

kinda but my view is,

Being banned from xbox live would majorly suck and thats why its a major deterrant to people thinking about flashing thier 360, because its a premium service.

Bening banned from nintendo WFC....pfft

Gonna try uninstall 4 vc games at the same time now, naming wad files as title.wad titlea.wad titleb.wad titlec.wad etc will report back soon.

Just tried multiple wads in my uninstallation, deleted them all very fast and smoothly. You hit reset button to start the uninstallation.

virtual console games cost MONEY MONEY MONEY

20 years AGO AGO AGO

certainly not enough to justify 10 dollars for a n64 game you can't even take to a friends house to play.

Did you read the prior posts? We are talking about the fact that pirating VC games is stealing and therefore bannable under nintendos EULA (no non-licensed accessories are allowed on your system) We're not talking about what their true worth is...And despite your argument for them being overpriced being valid(and completely offtopic), it still is stealing..

id love to see the face of the worried guys with the dont use pirate vc games thread

EH, It's not going to be nearly as priceless as everyones face is going to be when they go to go play mk online and see that they are banned because they installed a 20 year old donkey kong game lol

this uninstaller is a step in the right direction but if nintendo detects and bans yuo before using it than getting unbanned is going to be really a pain in the ass...or it could be like M$ and they make you have to go buy a whole new system.

I tried to execute the uninstaller via the homebrew channel, but it failed. I don't know why but I had to hard reset my Wii (hold the power button some seconds until it shuts down and then push again to start up). So I assumed I had to use the twilight hack.

But then I thought of my WAD installer ISO i made this morning following the tutorial in this thread http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=83221 and I figured why not make a WAD uninstaller iso. So I did and it works. Just remember to put the title.wad files (and titlea.wad, titleb.wad etc. if you want to remove more then one wad in one run) in a folder called wad. This can be confusing because if you want to INstall wad files, you have to place them in the SD root. I don't know why there is a difference but I don't care.

So, instead of executing the Twilight hack each time it is easier to have a WAD UNinstaller iso. Plus you don't need a hacked savefile in your Wii memory that way.

PS: another advantage is that you can also leave other homebrew elfs on the SD. I use the MAG loader, so I have four emulators with roms on the SD and just one elf file (the Mag loader elf) in the SD root, WAD files in the root and WAD files in a folder called wad.

Worked fine via HB channel for me, plus you can install multiple wads from the "wads folder" using v2 of the installer app.

No disk changing nonsense for me.

I ran it again and it gave me an error. That's a good sign that it actually removed them when it said "completed successfully"

I wonder: what happens if you do the following?
1- Install a channel with a Wad installer
2- Back it up to a SD card, via the Wii menu
3- Uninstall the wad using Wad uninstaller
4- Restore the backup to the console
???

Try it and report back.

Noooooooooooo. I'm too scared. Nintendo will call the police and arrest me.
Uhuhuhuh.

Unfortunately I don't have my Wii with me right now.
If nobody reports that until the weekend, I will happily say what happens in that case.
My bet. Wii will refuse to restore the backup.
