What info?

You can copy the VC games to SD fine.

you said in your previous post that if you delete the VC games via the channel settings that the signature will be left behind, if i move the VC game to a SD card and delete the VC games from the Wii system memory and then when i want to play again transfer them back to the wii system memory will i have any problems with the signatures left behind?

QUOTE(Sotoro @ Apr 24 2008, 07:03 PM) Mhh you can copy the save game of the ripped vc game to the sd card and then delete the whole game on the wii. The ripped and unused vc games can be saved on your pc.

i would rather have all the VC games i need in one place on my SD card than having it on my PC, on top of that deleting the VC game via the channel is a no no anyway and in order to play the game again you would have to go through the installation process over again, no thanks.

Do you have to rename the wad-uninstaller.dol wad-uninstaller.elf to something else. Do you need to put both of these files on the sd card? i see an error that says cannot find boot.elf

Also in the instructions, it says to make a wad folder. but some say you do not do that on this thread. which is correct?

EDIT: just needed to rename the wad-uninstaller.elf to boot.elf. All is good now

Hi,

If i install wads then remove them with the remover can they easily be re installed at a later date if i wish to?

Cheers

ps:heyyouguys ...did you just rename the wad-uninstaller.elf to boot.elf and put where on the sd card?
Also did you put the sd card in the front of the wii or use it through sd geko?

This uninstaller works great, but i may have a problem. When I uninstall wads, the game save associated to the game is also deleted ! I can copy it to SD before uninstalling (I think : didn't test). Can someone confirm this too ?

So I am to understand that if you use the uninstaller, it will erase all the data of the games (but you'll still be able to play them), but the save files will be gone too. Could you not just create a new save file after that one has been deleted, or are you prone to being detected then, and it's safer to transfer the save to your SD card and keeping it there?

ok i'm scared now why is everyone happy about this program should i be deleting any VC games i installed (Only 1 so far) or are you all just taking a precaution incase.

i hope there will be a WAD Uninstaller that removes every VC game if we ever wanna upgrade our consoles. I cant remember all games i installed and just removed in the Channel menu... Or atleast a program that can tell every tickets installed

Ok so why do i need this if i can delete a vc game with data managment,
So with this being out does that mean that nintendo can see you have
pirated VC games and can ban you online

You can delete them via Data Management, but as such if you decide to reinstall it or actually purchase it from the Wii Store, it'll fail. The Wii Store will think you've downloaded it at one point, but when you try to redownload it, you'll get an error message. Running the uninstall fixes this problem because it removes the ticket (which is on the Wii that tells the Wii Store that you've had this game at least once, which is normally designed for free redownloads) so you can purchase and download the game.

I hope this too. Again my question: If I format the Wii System Memory in the Wii Configuration Menu, will there be any wad garbage left?

There is a little problem with this uninstaller. Everytime i install/uninstall a wad, i lose 2 free blocks. It won't be a problem for a while but could become one eventually.

There will be. Because other wise you couldn't download the games again !!

So you have to know which wads you did install to completly remove the wads from the system with the wad-uninstaller. To format the wii flash is not enough.

Maybe your savegame is still there?
If it's still there, it does not appear in the data management screen. Maybe it's still there but invisible after the game got deleted ?

I removed something via the Channel menu. If I install the same thing back and use the uninstaller it'll get rid of the 'ticket' for good right?

You don't need to reinstall it.

If the ticket is still there, the uninstaller will find it.
