while 'halt' isn't actually powering down your system, it at least IS unmounting the file systems, which is the important part. so yes, i'd continue to do that. i'll tinker and post the next test.

Once again, keyboard not working. Does it have anything to do with the config file? I will keep trying. At least it loads up this time.

its far likelier that the keyboard issue has more to do with the USB code in the kernel source. can you get it working again by plugging/unplugging or is it dead all together now? i /did/ play with the kernel options a bit to try to alleviate this, i guess ill have to continue.

Nothing.

No USB response whatsoever on anything that I have tried. I have even tried multiple USB devices and running through a HUB just for the fuck of it...

I wish that I could help you out more. I don't start any programming classes until my upcoming Winter semester...

no worries, you've been a great help. its awesome having someone to test my builds while im stuck at work ;P

Hmm... unplug and replug the keyboard in a few times, testing it after each plug/unplug... let me know if that does anything for you. Your "working" kernel version was 2.6.32. This kernel is 3.0.86. A big jump. This is a monumental leap in our development as in all likelihood we will need an updated kernel/userspace in order to build a sustainable platform from which homebrew can be based off of. Developing on a 3 year old system is meh.

I have done a proof of concept 3.6 kernel and it worked for IOS (Wii), just not MINI. Something with SDHC silently breaks in 3.1-rc1 preventing booting, and this is what I have been working on solving in the last few weeks. I still can't seem to fix the issue and will likely require help. Something similar to this happens with 3.7-rc3 (I think) and it prevent IOS (Wii) from booting. It should be quite possible to have an up to date kernel that works for GameCube,Wii, and vWii (WiiU) by late this Winter if these minor issues can be solved.
