Hi, I've bought Super smash bros brawl today to hack the vwii on my Wii U.
Problem here is it loads the exploit fine but then is stuck on "No code found to load, hanging."
It gives a SD card not detected (-1) error. I tried 2 different sd cards both 2 gb. Formatted to fat32, one is the default one from a 3ds and one is the one i used fine with our Nintendo Wii. boot.elf was placed in the root. Does anybody know if i am doing something wrong?

Thanks, unfortunatly it isn't the same problem. The exploit itself happens. It just fails to detect the hackmii installer,
Here is the error :

I'm assuming you're using an SD card that's 2GB in size if you get smash stack to work. And if it loaded smash stack to get you to that point, then it can obviously see and read from your SD card. Double check that the hackmii installer is in the right folder. A simple thing, but sometimes overlooked. The official page will let you double check yourself and see if you've got it in the right folder and that it's been named properly.

I'd probably format the sd card, check it for errors, then load the files, double check they're named right and are in the right place, and try it again. If that doesn't work, try a different sd card, and do the same. If those steps don't work, something else is probably going on.

Yep it's a 2gb sd card. the one provided with a nintendo 3ds. Boot.elf has to be in the root right?
yup, boot.elf in the root of the folder. Be sure you get the latest version from bootmii.org, which is version V1.2.

When you format your SD card, format it to FAT, rather than FAT32. I doubt that's your problem, but gotta cover all bases, right?

And sometimes it just hangs weird. Try it a few more times after you've formatted and reloaded from freshly downloaded copy of V1.2.

I've got the latest one from their site. Already tried both FAT32 and FAT on 2 different SD's. Really weird that it doesn't seem to find anything..

The Wii U itself hasn't been modded in any way. if you meant other exploit games unfortunatly not.
Well, you're PAL, but that should only be a concern getting the exploit to work. You're using the modified version specifically for PAL consoles, yes? It looks like you've got the exploit working, but is just trying to find the hackmii file on the root. Maybe it's a region thing? Double check to see if you've got the right smash attack region files.

The advice from the other thread was to wait until you've loaded smash bros before you putting the freshly formatted SD card with the files into the wiiu, otherwise it might mess with the boot.elf. I'm assuming you've done that as well?

Oh, and make sure your SD card isn't "locked". I know, probably not, but worth a mention.

Correct me if I'm wrong (its been a while since if softmodded my vWii), but don't you need to have your Wii U/vWii connected to the internet to execute which hack you use? I honestly can't remember, but its worth checking to see if your internet is connected and working.

Wii U is connected to the internet, doesn't seem to be a configuration menu on vwii. I am using the pal exploit. it really seems to be not detecting my sd card. tried a dol file renamed boot.dol but it doesn't seem to detect anything :\ SD cards aren't locked

If it's letter bomb you do, but the game based exploits don't as far as I know. I don't believe letterbomb works on the vwii though.

In that case I'm not sure. Beyond trying different timing when putting in the SD card, I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else will weigh in with a bit more knowledge than me.
