Hello there.

Some time ago I've got some Wii games from a foreign region. Naturally, my vWii refuses to load them, so I want to make them work via some softmod.

Can anyone help me to decide what tools I should use?

Right now I've got:
- MicroSD card with an adapter, 2 Gb, not SDHC (so it's kinda the same regular SD, I presume);
- LEGO Batman game for Bathaxx.
I haven't tried to run it yet.

What should I install?
Do I have to install HBC, or it will be fine with Riivolution alone?

I'd also be grateful for a link where I could read about loading games from an USB.

Install the Homebrew Channel. This will allow you to run homebrew applications. Then install a homebrew application called GeckoOS. This will allow you to boot any region Wii disc. Job done.

Do NOT follow any region free guides for the original Wii, just use GeckoOS.

As for USB loading, you can use homebrew applications called USB Loader GX, CFG Loader, Wiiflow and other various loaders.

Hello again. I've successfully used Bathaxx and installed the HBC via HackMii 1.2.
HBC works fine but runs on 4:3 screen for some reason.

Yet, now I got a problem with running things.
Homebrew browser 0.3.9e starts loading and crashes after trying to unpack some image files just loaded. All I get is a dump on screen.
Gecko OS 1.9.3.1 just locks up with a black screen.
Locked up, Wii U doesn't react to anything but the power cable.

On the brighter side, nothing was bricked either.

Some data on the console:
(1) 5.3.2 E
(2) WUP-101(03)
(3) FEH107700100
(4) HATA-0210-3375

SD card: Transcend microSD 2 Gb, with FAT filesystem.

Can anyone help me to find the cause of such behaviour?

UPDATE: Riivolution 1.06 did the trick. My foreign region games are now running.
Although the console freezes when I try to exit to the System Menu.
