Since my HDD is NTFS and every guide say Fat32, i feel i need an alternative to load gamecube and wii games. I got a plenty of SD card, after the Vwii is hacked, is there a maximun size of SD i can load games from? I've already used an 8go back in days on wii

Thanks ! :)

USB Loader GX does not officially support Wii games from SD.

on USBLoaderGX, SD support for wii games was asked many times and previous devs stated that it was a "usb" loader, and never wanted to add SD support.
I can try to add it, but I'm not sure I will succeed. I might even add more bugs than fixes.
there are other bugs I need to fix first before adding new features.

Although it's "nice to have" there's no need for this feature as long as there aren't 512 GB cards (or above) for a maximum of 70/80 bucks.

Excuse my curiosity but why would anyone use SD card to store Wii games when there is USB HDD support? You can get nowadays 2TB HDD very cheap, even cheaper than 256 GB SD cards.

I can only think of 2 things
1. HDD without its own power source requires Y cable, so WiiU can only use 1 HDD and they need it to be WiiU formatted for WiiU games (no idea whether the front USB port can be used for another HDD)
2. Not dealing with format nag that shows up when you plug non WiiU formatted disk (there's tool that prevent that but it needs extra step when you need to connect it again to the PC)

That can be bypassed by holding the B button during console boot up to get to vWii mode. SD cards can be a problem due to constant read/writing to NAND.

because she doesn't want to use HDD, she wants SD card and asked about compatible size, not about anything else.
the cause is not the annoying format prompt message, but because she wants to keep NTFS instead of FAT32.

what has not been suggested is : why not format your HDD to FAT32?
or buy a new one if there's no way to backup the data before formating.
But again, I suppose she already thought about it herself, and just wanted to know if there are alternatives first.
