Point blank, has anyone done this? Anyone interested in this?

I want to eventually start coding for the Wii U, but I'm not extremely experienced with code yet and would probably not be able to start developing until an SDK or at least a more robust coding environment formed.

So I figured, since the Wii does have an SDK for hackers, and this is a feature I'm sure a lot of people would like to see, maybe I would try and add Gamecube controller support to the Emulators running on vWii. If nothing else, I know I would use this feature and it would give me a little experience coding for a platform other than Windows. But honestly I'm not particularly interested at the moment unless its something that will benefit others in the community, as I'm sure it could be infuriating and time consuming for someone with no real experience in coding for a video game system.

Anyone interested, or has anyone already added this support? Any beginner's tips or general pointers with the SDK would be appreciated! I'd hate to mess up my vWii! D:
