Hacking vWii Bricked Priiloader

I bricked my vWii on my Wii U a few years ago. Never figured out how to fix it. I tried installing Priiloader for a custom theme on vWii but was following a tutorial for the standard Wii, needed to press the restart button to complete it but the Wii U doesn’t have one. The screen just went black. My Wii U works fine, just can’t access the vWii. Any way to fix this without deleting my saved data on vWii? I tried Decaffeinator with light mode, and advanced deleting Sysmenu, IOS 31/36/80. But the system doesn’t want to update, it’s keeps sayings it’s up to date. What should I do?

How does it work
This uses the fact that the Wii U will redownload many missing files when performing a System Update.
So this homebrew will remove files that can be redownloaded and forces a System Update.
