Im pretty sure vWii is already being upscaled. If it isn't, it already looks pretty good depending imo.

it would be cool to get similar graphics with what the dolphin emulator can !

and guys, is there still no other way to get the vwii hax unless you have a original game disc e.g brawl /tosdotnw/lego batman thing etc.?

can we not get the vwii hax with redNAND ?

Upscaling is just taking a 480P resolution image and stretching. This is what the WiiU already does.

What you are actually asking for is a GX>GX2 graphics wrapper for vWii which will output in higher resolution. It would be tricky and I have no idea if someone has the time/knowhow to pull it off.

Since the Wii U will not need to emulate most things to run Wii in Wii U mode, using Wii U mode should give it the extra power needed to bump it up to 720p.
Except for, y'know, the whole GPU. (Wii mode GPU is completely different from Wii U mode, and you can't use Wii mode functionality in Wii U mode.)

Thay both use PowerPC at least, the same architecture, the Wii U is pretty much a Wii or GC with Steroids, maybe in the future we can maybe see a Nintendon't for loading Wii or maybe GC games on the Wii U side of the console, some games would work on higher resolution and others probably will not like Brawl or The Last Story, who knows?

I doubt that this is ever going to happen anyway.

from what i remember about this from previous discussion on here.... the vWii makes the wii u do the upscaling which is poor compared to when you have a regular wii and a HDMI adaptor for example which allows the HDTV to do the upscaling (which results in a better looking image).

like others have said, will most likely require gx to be re-written to accomodate. It would be quite an acheivement and would rank alongside Nintendont as the best acheivments for wii homebrew.

Stretching =/= Upscaling.

Anyway, the Wii Mode and all VC games look pretty sharp to me, so it is clearly doing something other than just stretching. Still says 1080p on my old LG monitor which probably doesn't have any internal upscaler.

I have an legit Lenkeng adapter and it is just as blurry as the original Wii2HDMI. Whatever the Wii U has inside, it is doing a way better work than those HDMI adapters on the market.
Long ago i tested my Wii on a LG TV (component, 2012) and it didn't look as good as the Wii U....
